Capital Planning - Associate (CCAR Governance)

Associate, Capital PlanningWe're seeking someone to join as an Associate in the Capital Planning team to work on a number of regulatory and internal Capital Planning deliverables.In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an associate level position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What you'll do in the role:Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the FirmResponsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or productsAdhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controlsAct as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standardsSupport execution of Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Quarterly Stress Test governance, including producing meeting materials for senior management and Board-level meetings, setting quarterly and on-going governance requirements/ calendarProvide guidance to input providers on bridging the gap between governance requirements and how they are applied in practice; collaborate with various stakeholders on annual policy and procedures narrative updatesLiaise with Internal Audit and Process Validation functionsSupport capital planning governance initiatives/ regulatory requestsFacilitate cross-functional meetings to review and challenge management assumptions and overlaysWhat you'll bring to the role:Working knowledge of Finance functional area, industry and competitive environmentAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to various audiencesWillingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peersStrong writing skills, including ability to summarize various governance requirements with clarity and brevityExcellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills, including ability to identify linkage between various governance requirements and practical applicationsAdept at working in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentProven track record of great teamwork and ability to work across organizational boundariesAbility to work on multiple projects under a compressed timelineStrong sense of ownership and accountability for workSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyAt least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this roleWhat you can expect from Morgan Stanley:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
