Role Description

The Capital Partner role is an on-site position based in Spartanburg, SC, focused on providing strategic capital and financial guidance to support current and future construction projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing project funding needs, evaluating investment opportunities, and collaborating with leadership on budget planning, cash flow management, and risk analysis. The Capital Partner will review financial reports, monitor project performance against financial targets, and support negotiations with lenders, investors, and key stakeholders. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions, advising on capital structure, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial and contractual requirements. The position requires close coordination with project managers and operations staff to align financial decisions with project timelines and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in capital investment, project finance, or corporate finance, preferably within construction, real estate, or related industries.
• Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data clearly.
• Experience working with lenders, investors, or financial partners, including familiarity with loan structures, equity investments, and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of construction project lifecycles, contracts, and cost controls, or a strong interest in learning the operational aspects of construction.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with leadership and project teams.
• High level of integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail, with a focus on compliance and responsible use of capital.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work on-site in Spartanburg, SC, and engage directly with operations, leadership, and external partners.
