Capital Markets (Derivatives) Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is representing a leading Am Law firm seeking a Capital Markets Associate to join its highly regarded Derivatives team in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated derivatives and capital markets transactions within a collaborative and fast-paced practice representing major financial institutions, issuers, and market participants.The ideal candidate will have approximately 1–5 years of relevant transactional experience, including capital markets and derivatives matters. Candidates with exposure to equity derivatives are especially encouraged to apply, though the firm will also consider strong transactional associates with a demonstrated interest in derivatives work.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on a broad range of derivatives and structured finance transactionsAssist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating derivatives-related documentationSupport capital markets transactions involving equity derivatives and related productsWork closely with partners and senior attorneys on sophisticated domestic and cross-border mattersCollaborate across practice groups on complex transactional issuesManage transaction components efficiently in a fast-paced environmentQualifications1–5 years of transactional experience at a major law firmExperience in capital markets and/or derivatives transactions preferredEquity derivatives experience is strongly preferred for more senior candidatesStrong drafting, analytical, and communication skillsExcellent academic credentialsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentAdmission to the New York Bar or eligibility to waive inWhy ApplyThis firm offers attorneys the opportunity to work on cutting-edge and market-leading transactions while receiving strong mentorship, professional development support, and meaningful client exposure.
