About:

A well-established global law firm is looking to onboard an Associate to join their Capital Markets practice group. The position is located in their headquarters in Chicago.

The team is one of the largest capital markets groups in the world, with over 300 lawyers in 45 countries, working on matters in both financial centers and key emerging markets. The group represents issuers, investment banks, financial sponsors, selling shareholders, and other market participants across the full spectrum of equity, debt, and public and private market solutions. This includes domestic and cross-border IPOs, debt issuances and programs, and complex, multi-jurisdictional acquisitions and divestitures.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of three years’ relevant law firm experience.
• Experience in corporate law, with particular experience in securities law advice and capital market transactions.
• Specific expertise in securities and capital markets – in particular, familiarity with public company reporting obligations, public securities offerings, SEC compliance, and corporate governance requirements.
• Previous experience of assisting with issuer-side and underwriter-side private and public offerings, as well as ongoing securities disclosure matters, including 34 Act reporting and corporate governance matters.
• Proven willingness to accept significant responsibility and manage a challenging workload, within a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage smaller projects and exhibit strong attention to detail as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
