SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE PLACED INTO THE ACTIVE CANDIDATE POOL AND MAY BE NOTIFIED WHEN THERE IS AN ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR OPENING FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE.Under the supervision of the Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, this adjunct faculty member is responsible for planning, delivering, and supervising instruction to a diverse population of students. The successful candidate will have documented expertise in the area of teaching and will work with faculty and staff to create an atmosphere of trust and respect in which all can succeed. Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefited MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions.Teaches a standard range of courses expected in the first two years of a degree program in the field.Teaching one or more courses in Electrical Engineering Technology (both lab and lecture). Day, evening or Saturday sections may be available.Provides relevant and timely feedback on student assignments, including participation.Compiles and reports grade-related information according to College policies, procedures, and deadlines.Teaching contracts will be in accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.RequirementsAssociate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics.Two or more years of college, high school, or adult education experience.Experience teaching Programmable Logic Controls, Robotics, Sensors, Motor Controls, and Fluid Power.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in engineering technology or engineering.Four years or more of industry experience.Successful community college teaching experience.Commitment to fostering inclusiveness, equity and diversity within the academic setting.Teaching experience with Early College students or at the High School level.Commitment to the mission of the community college.Experience building and facilitating asynchronous or hybrid courses using a standard learning management systemAdditional InformationSalary: DCE Adjunct Contract RatesBenefits: NoUnion: DCEGrant Funded: NoClosing Date: Open Until FilledAll candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
