This role provides the opportunity to candidates with strong engineering background to apply their aptitude to plan, design, build, implement, improve and help efficiently maintain business and systems solutions used by manufacturing operations team.
The role will entail being part of an agile software development team, requiring direct interface with cross functional business and IT team members for projects and support work alike.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain and enhance data driven Manufacturing web and desktop applications in a process driven environmentDevelop on Camstar manufacturing system platform including web, database and other proprietary technologiesHands-on responsibility in system prototyping, configuration, design, development, testing and production support for business-critical systemsWork in an Agile scrum team for software development projectsPartner with other developers and team members across the globe to problem solve and provide solutions to technical challenges and requirementsAct as a change agent in bringing in innovative ways to develop software and bring continuous improvementEducation: BS Required (Computer Science, Information Systems or related)Required Qualifications:Overall 5+ years development experience with at least 3+ years experience in working on Camstar or similar Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)3+ years experience in these technologies: Camstar Designer, modelling, IOA preferably on version 5.8Microsoft technologies -.Net based or similar web and desktop applicationsWeb services, REST APIsHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript based frameworksDatabase skills including SQL/PLSQLGood understanding of Scrum development SDLCStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills; Attention to details is criticalUnderstanding and ability to use source control / configuration management tools like GitHub, SVNPreference given to candidates with below experience or skills:Manufacturing & distribution domain experienceSolid experience with object-oriented conceptsLife Science industry background / knowledge of molecular biology, chemistry, and/or biologyExperience with AWS/Azure, Cold Fusion, Power BI, AngularOther Skills:Ability to proactively take ownership of issues and task, show leadership in undertaken activities and reliably complete them with minimal supervisionMust be self-confident, assertive and self-motivated.
