Job Summary

Campus Staff Minister – Illinois & Indiana (Graduate & Faculty Ministry). Location: Indiana. Job Type: Full time.

Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Growth – Pursue a vibrant relationship with the triune God through engagement with Scripture, prayer, and worship; develop self‑leadership; embrace Scriptural standards for behavior and attitudes.
  • Campus Leadership – Communicate and model InterVarsity’s vision; create a culture of humble dependence on God; lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching and discipleship; set annual goals; develop and execute ministry plans; mobilize students and faculty to engage their networks; supervise interns as delegated; gather diverse groups; equip students and faculty to think strategically; disciple and equip participants to become leaders.
  • Organizational Collaboration – Work with local, area, regional and national InterVarsity staff and volunteers; partner and respond to direction; contribute to team meetings; submit graduating student forms; use national resources; report and review; comply with policies.
  • Ministry Partnership Development – Develop partners – churches and individuals – who will resource the ministry; raise 100% of the financial budget assigned; communicate regularly with partners; develop long‑lasting partnerships; identify and invest in advocates; accomplish other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

  • Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement, Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement.
  • Abide by InterVarsity’s Code of Conduct and Theological Paper on Human Sexuality.
  • Affirm and behave consonantly with InterVarsity’s “Women in Ministry Statement of Affiliation.”
  • Bachelor’s degree required for four‑year campuses; Associate’s degree required for two‑year campuses or community colleges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with word processing, presentations, email and spreadsheet software.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

The CSM leads ministry in a college campus environment. Travel to on‑campus and off‑campus sites is required, including student ministry conferences, partnership meetings and training sessions. Daily communication and standard office equipment use are typical.

Pay Range

$44,016.00 – $58,680.00 per year. The actual salary is determined by an individual’s ability to secure the necessary funding.
