Campus MonitorUnder general supervision, monitor students, staff, visitors and vehicles on the campus.Education/Certifications: High School diploma or GEDExperience: NoneAbility to work effectively with studentsAbility to record informationAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to communicate effectivelyNoneTools/Equipment Used: Two-way radioPosture: Prolonged sitting; frequent standing/bending/pushing/pulling, and twistingMotion: Continuous walking and standingLifting: Regular light lifting and carrying moderate weightEnvironment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; be exposed to vehicle exhaust; work outside and be exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather; be subject to extreme physical acts of others (i.e., restraining students involved in altercations)Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stressStudent ManagementMonitor student behavior across the campus and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking.Resolve conflict or confrontation between students and report disturbances to principal or assistant principal.ParkingHelp control traffic and parking on campus grounds.Register student vehicles and maintain accurate records of registration.Work cooperatively with campus office personnel to inform students of problems with vehicles (i.e., improperly parked, lights on, etc.Notify campus administration and/or campus SRO of any situation requiring immediate attention.Give directions or act as a guide to authorized visitors.Maintain confidentiality regarding all campus matters.Perform other duties as assigned.
