Handling complex workers' compensation claims, the full-time California WC Claim Representative III will investigate claims, determine compensability, negotiate settlements, and mentor lower-level claim handlers while working remotely. Key responsibilities Investigates claims and determines compensability through thorough analysis and documentation Negotiates settlements with attorneys or injured parties to bring cases to resolution Mentors junior claim handlers and coordinates special projects to enhance team performance Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant combination of education and experience Five years of experience in a workers' compensation claims environment, including handling complex claims Two years of experience as an AF Group Claims Representative II or equivalent role Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations, particularly in California Continuous learning and progress toward certification in the field is preferred
