Responsible for auditing various loan types, the full-time remote California QC Senior Underwriter will review credit, capacity, compliance, and collateral characteristics to ensure adherence to investor quality standards while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities Perform pre-funding quality control reviews of loans and participate in remediation of identified defects Monitor implementation of action plans based on quality control findings and communicate defects effectively Analyze reports and data to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, serving as a subject matter expert Required qualifications 6+ years of experience in Underwriting Review, Mortgage Quality Control, or a related field High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred Advanced knowledge of residential mortgage industry and applicable regulatory compliance obligations Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA guidelines and Federal regulatory procedures Basic knowledge of fraud detection and advanced TRID knowledge
