Owning the architecture and operation of core data platform components, the full-time California Licensed Staff Data Engineer will build and manage high-capacity data pipelines and systems in a remote environment, driving analytics and machine learning initiatives across the organization. Key responsibilities Architect and operate batch, ELT, and near-real-time streaming data pipelines to support analytics and machine learning Design scalable data models and enforce platform standards for data governance and observability Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data foundations and optimize data infrastructure performance Required qualifications Five to eight years of hands-on experience in building large-scale data systems Advanced technical expertise in SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt Experience designing and operating production-grade batch, ELT, and streaming pipeline architectures Strong understanding of modern data architecture paradigms, including Medallion architecture Proven ability to optimize data pipelines for scale, reliability, and performance
