Seeking a Per Diem California Licensed Senior Coder, this remote position will charge and code inpatient records in accordance with established guidelines while collaborating with Health Information Management leadership on performance improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities Charge and code inpatient records following established coding guidelines and regulations Assist with various coding areas as needed to support departmental functions Collaborate with Health Information Management leadership to review charts and resolve coding issues Required qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Health Information Management preferred Three to five years of experience in inpatient coding functions with acute care experience required Current Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, including disease processes
