To support a growing practice, the full-time California Licensed Revenue Cycle Specialist will manage the revenue cycle process, including submitting claims, following up on accounts receivable, and ensuring accurate coding for ABA, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy services in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Submit claims and process follow-ups on payer appeals while communicating with management on claim statuses Ensure claims are coded correctly according to current CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS guidelines, and follow up on accounts receivable Assist providers and staff with insurance and billing inquiries, while participating in departmental process improvement initiatives Required qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of billing experience is required Associate and/or Medical Billing Certification preferred (AHIMA, AAPC) Knowledge of Behavioral Health and ABA medical billing practices is required Familiarity with various Medical Insurance Payors, including Medicare and Medi-Cal, is required Computer experience, including practice management software, is essential; familiarity with Central Reach is a plus
