To enhance professional fee coding accuracy and support documentation improvement initiatives, the remote contract Physician Coding Educator will deliver targeted education to physicians and coding staff, conduct chart reviews and coding audits, and analyze coding trends. Key responsibilities Deliver targeted education to physicians and coding staff while conducting chart reviews and coding audits Analyze coding trends and provide actionable feedback to improve compliance and documentation accuracy Engage directly with physicians to translate audit findings into educational initiatives and support audit readiness Required qualifications CPC (AAPC) or CCS or CCS-P (AHIMA) certification required 3+ years of experience in professional fee coding across physician, ASC, surgical, or outpatient settings Experience with physician-facing education and conducting chart reviews and coding audits Knowledge of documentation standards, compliance requirements, and audit readiness practices Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating cross-functionally
