Providing professional optometric expertise, the full-time California Licensed Optometrist Reviewer will review medical records, claims, and Treatment Authorization Requests (TARs) remotely while ensuring compliance with medical policies and standards. Key responsibilities: Review optometry-related medical records and claims for compliance with medical policies Evaluate requested services against clinical standards and document findings accurately Collaborate with clinical and operational partners to resolve review questions and refer cases as needed Required qualifications: Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school of Optometry Current, non-expired California license to practice as an Optometrist in good standing Minimum of one year of experience working as an Optometrist Must not be under suspension from Medicare, Medicaid, or practice in California Must not have been previously sanctioned for fraud or abuse
