Managing the underwriting process for new and renewal business, the full-time California Licensed Inside Underwriter will evaluate risk, negotiate coverage terms, and ensure compliance with internal and carrier standards while working remotely. Key responsibilities Underwrite new and renewal business within binding authority and brokerage markets, including risk evaluation and coverage placement Manage the end-to-end underwriting process, including submissions, quoting, binding, and policy confirmation Negotiate coverage terms with carriers while ensuring alignment with underwriting strategy and resolving coverage issues Required qualifications Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance designation preferred Experience in underwriting or brokering specialty or E&S insurance products State-specific insurance license required Strong understanding of underwriting principles and risk evaluation Ability to manage high-volume underwriting workflows with accuracy and efficiency
