California Licensed Inpatient Review Nurse

To support patient care continuity, the full-time California Licensed Inpatient Review Nurse will perform inpatient reviews, generate referrals, and collaborate with healthcare teams while working remotely on a Pacific Time schedule. Key responsibilities Performs reviews of inpatients with complex medical and social problems Generates referrals to ancillary service providers and community agencies in collaboration with the patient's primary care physician Conducts follow-up reviews and evaluations of patients in lower levels of care settings Required qualifications Current, Active and Unrestricted California Licensed Vocational Nurse Minimum of 3 years of general case management experience, including 2 years in a managed care setting as an inpatient case manager Successful completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing Program Knowledge of Medicare Managed Care Plans Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills related to nursing utilization review
