Seeking a California Licensed Deputy General Counsel in a fully remote, full-time role, the successful candidate will manage litigation involving restrictive covenants and contractual disputes, provide strategic legal counsel, and represent the organization in court proceedings.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of litigation related to restrictive covenants and contractual disputes, from strategy through resolution
- Appear in court for motions, hearings, and trials as necessary
- Provide strategic counseling on hiring practices and risk assessments related to pre- and post-hire scenarios
Required qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; California bar admission preferred
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant litigation experience, particularly in restrictive covenant matters
- Experience in the insurance industry is preferred
- Proven ability to manage litigation internally and effectively advocate in legal forums
