California Licensed Counseling Faculty

To support the Counseling Department, the full-time Visiting Faculty in Counseling will teach virtual and in-person courses, engage in departmental service, and contribute to the mission of integrating advocacy and cultural competence into counselor education. Key responsibilities Teach 24 units per year, including virtual synchronous courses and in-person residency experiences as needed Engage in departmental service by participating in committees and faculty meetings, contributing 6 units over two quarters Attend university events and potentially serve in leadership roles within professional counseling organizations Required qualifications Doctoral degree in Counseling Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program License or license eligible as a Mental Health Counselor or related discipline Demonstrated excellence in teaching in both virtual and in-person formats Engagement in professional counseling associations and demonstrated clinical knowledge Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the educational environment
