California Licensed Consulting Psychiatrist

To support the launch of a new Psychiatry Service Line, a California Licensed Consulting Psychiatrist will work remotely on a contract basis, developing clinical protocols, treating patients with mild to moderate mental health conditions, and supervising psychiatric nurse practitioners. Key responsibilities Develop clinical protocols for treating mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and PMDD, including medication management Supervise psychiatric nurse practitioners and provide case consultations post-launch Design safety and escalation protocols for behavioral health and participate in hiring processes for PMHNP candidates Required qualifications Active board certification in Psychiatry through the ABPN or AOBNP An active, unrestricted medical license in California, Florida, New York, or Texas A minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience as a practicing psychiatrist Demonstrated experience treating conditions at the intersection of hormonal and mental health Experience supervising or collaborating with psychiatric nurse practitioners or other advanced practice providers
