Manage the Calibration system
Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Description of Duties
Calibration System
- Maintain calibration system to ensure full compliance with company standards and ISO requirements
- Manage and coordinate calibration activities with both internal and external suppliers and customers
- Perform mechanical calibration of gauges utilizing specified layout style
- Coordinates calibration through interacting with production personnel
- Manages the flow of gages/fixtures through the inspection department to ensure timely calibration
Lean Initiatives
- Observes Company processes and makes recommendations for improvement
- Participates in Lean Projects
Other
- Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
- Performs other duties as may be required.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
- Skill required to operate gauges and testing equipment.
- Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex drawings
Physical Requirements
- Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate inspection machinery for precision work.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
- Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from
position-to-position.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
