Position Title: California – Cal/OSHA and Employment Litigation Associate

About:

We are seeking a talented California attorney to join its Employment Litigation team, with at least 50% of the role dedicated to the firm’s growing Workplace Safety Practice Group. You’ll take on sophisticated litigation, work directly with experienced partners, and gain valuable exposure to Cal/OSHA and workplace safety matters while continuing to develop your broader employment practice. The firm’s collaborative, free-market approach gives you the flexibility to pursue matters that match your interests while building a practice with long-term potential.

Salary

$170-$270k/ Year + DOE

Responsibilities

• Dedicate 50%+ of practice to the Workplace Safety Practice Group
• Handle employment litigation involving workplace safety and related employment matters
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents
• Develop case strategy and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Manage matters throughout the litigation lifecycle and communicate with clients and partners
• Collaborate across the firm and pursue matters aligned with your interests

Requirements

• 2+ years of employment litigation or OSHA experience
• Cal/OSHA, federal OSHA, or workplace safety enforcement experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with pleadings, discovery, motions, and depositions
• California Bar admission and strong academic credentials
• Excellent writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong judgment and teamwork
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
