Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist the cafeteria staff in providing customer service and helping in the coordination of food preparation for the child nutrition services.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:

• High school diploma/equivalent or higher preferred
• Valid Food Handler's Card (preferred although not needed to apply)

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds
• Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with district employee

1. Assists with the preparation of daily menu items as assigned.
2. Follows instructions regarding portioning, garnishing, and serving meals.
3. Operates food service equipment following safety standards set forth by district procedures and reports any malfunctions to immediate supervisor.
4. Greets all visitors and customers courteously.
5. Assists with kitchen and cafeteria daily cleaning as assigned.
6. Follows sanitation standards set forth by City/County Health Department and district.
7. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the CCAISD safety program.
8. Supports the goals and objectives of the school district and follows all district policies.
9. Demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular and routine basis to avoid disruption to district operations.
10. Performs any other duties assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
