CADD Technician

CADD TechnicianHDR Michigan, Inc. is seeking a CADD Technician to join our growing, nationally ranked Power Delivery team. Building on your established expertise in drafting and design, you will step into a role responsible for creating and/or modifying electric substation drawings, distribution drawings, and transmission line drawings.Key Responsibilities:Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professionalPrepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design softwarePerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications:One year or more experience working for an A/E firm or Utility company performing tasks aligned with the responsibilities above.Required Qualifications:Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experienceKnowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc)Familiarity with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and organization skillsBasic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverablesAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPrimary Location: United States-Michigan-Ann ArborIndustry: PowerSchedule: Full-timeEmployee Status: RegularBusiness Class: Substation EngineeringJob Posting: Jun 25, 2026 - At HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity.
