We offer the opportunity to advance your career and become part of our well-respected and growing firm.WOODPATEL has immediate openings for full-time CAD Technicians and Designers in our Phoenix and Mesa offices who will work within a team environment supporting our Land Development Department.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will vary based on experience level and may include:Assemble construction plans and assist the design team with submittals to reviewing agenciesPrepare electronic drawings using company CAD standards from marked-up plans and/or verbal instructionWork with Project Managers and Engineers to design sites and subdivisions including roadways, utilities, grading, and drainageCreate and maintain base files, alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, and earthwork models using Civil 3DModify construction documents to reflect agency review commentsProduce quantities and assist with cost estimates as neededCoordinate with engineers, designers, and other CAD team membersOrganize and schedule work to meet project budgets and deadlinesPlot and publish plans and exhibits as requiredMay provide guidance and/or review work of lower-level CAD staffRequirementsCAD Technicians: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with AutoCAD and Civil 3DDesigners: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Civil 3D; experience developing construction plans for sites and subdivisions including roadways, grading, drainage, water, and sewer systemsStrong drafting and plan production backgroundDetail-oriented and well organizedAbility to work effectively with limited supervisionEffective listening, verbal, and written communication skillsBenefitsCompetitive pay commensurate with experienceGenerous Paid Time Off plan and paid holidaysFlexible schedules including ½-day FridaysHealth, Dental, and Vision coverage401(k) with employer matchingShort- and long-term disability and life insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramIn-house training events and mentoring opportunitiesWOODPATEL is committed to our community and matches employee contributions to St.
