Job Title: Cad OperatorKimley-Horn is looking for an experienced CAD Operator to join our Water Wastewater and Utilities team in Sarasota. This is not a remote position.ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the project engineer or designer utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D, and Revit to create civil construction documents for wastewater lift stations, pump stations, pipelines and utility work.Developing technical drawings and plans using CAD softwareMaking and quality checking drawings and plans of substantial complexity and performing some multifaceted calculationsRequiring minimal supervision to perform day to day tasksHaving knowledge of engineering principles and suggesting design changesMaintaining drawing databaseMay supervise and train CAD staffCoordinating work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality controlDeveloping familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standardsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)3+ years of relevant experienceAdvanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley productsDetail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starterStrong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learnAbility to work independently and with a teamWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
