Ameren Illinois Drafting TechnicianAmeren Illinois provides electric transmission and distribution service and natural gas distribution service. Every day, we deliver electricity to 1.2 million electric and 812,000 natural gas customers in more than 1,200 communities in central and southern Illinois.Key responsibilities include:Create and edit substation and transmission line drawingsProduce and revise drawings with AutoCAD or other related CAD toolsCreate, revise, and maintain detailed electrical drawings, including substation layouts, transmission and distribution plans, system protection schematics, wiring diagrams, survey maps, structural details, and equipment drawings associated with utility infrastructureApply and maintain company drafting standardsConvert engineering sketches, field notes, and markups into accurate CAD drawingsCollaborate with engineers and field personnel to collect technical information needed for accurate drawings and incorporate red/green markups and field revisions into proper documentationOther support duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentSuccessful completion of any two (2) of the following high school or college math classes with a grade of C or better: Algebra, Geometry, or Trigonometry. Transcript required prior to interview.
