CAD ManagerA civil engineering company located in Allentown, PA is seeking a CAD Manager to join their team. This person will play a key role in overseeing the production and organization of technical drawing production and standards for various civil engineering, land development, and architecture projects. This leadership position requires a candidate with a deep understanding of technical engineering documentation, impeccable organizational skills, and a proven track record of managing and optimizing document workflows.
The team routinely produces complex permit submission sets of 200+ pages which include both internal design documents and reports as well as design co-consultants.Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership to the Technical Documents team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environmentSupervise, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring the growth and success of the departmentDevelop and implement standardized processes for creating, reviewing, and revising technical drawings in compliance with industry regulations and best practicesQualifications:Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing technical document management in a civil engineering, land planning, or architectural settingIn-depth knowledge of industry-standard technical drawing practices, software, and tools including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related Autodesk productsStrong understanding of line weights and printing requirements for large format documentation
