Our client, a growing Northern Illinois manufacturer of custom-engineered building systems, is adding an experienced CAD Detailer / Designer to its engineering team. This is a hands-on role creating the 3D models, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and manufacturing documentation that turn engineered building concepts into finished products.
Create 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor Produce fabrication, assembly and installation drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD Manage drawings, revisions and product data using Autodesk Vault Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and project teams Support DFM/DFA, engineering changes and continuous improvement
3+ years of CAD design/detailing experience
Strong Autodesk Inventor experience
Strong AutoCAD experience
Autodesk Vault experience
Manufacturing experience with structural steel, building systems, architectural products, metal fabrication or similar engineered products strongly preferred
