A career at Koorsen includes competitive pay, a great health package, an annual bonus program, life insurance, continuous learning offerings, matching 401k, paid holidays, generous PTO, tuition reimbursement, career growth opportunities, and much more.Salary $50,000 - $90,000 depending on experience and certifications.This is an on-site role.ResponsibilitiesPrepare project drawings, specifications, and schematics required to support the installation of electronic special systems, such as Fire Alarms, Security, and other Low Voltage SystemsVerify project requirements and coordinate with the Project Managers and Sales to ensure project design is in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local codesLayout fire alarm devices on basic designsUnderstand IBC, IFC, OFC, IAC, NFPA 72 and all other applicable codesInteract with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional mannerOpen willingness to continual learningDemonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practicesFollow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core valuesAny other duties deemed appropriate by managementRequired3 years of CAD Design experience in fire alarm systemsUnderstanding of electronics and wiring requirements (Voltage, Amperage, Voltage Drop, etc.)Pass drug and background screeningsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAble to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certificationsProficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointPhysical DemandsMust be able to sit for long periods of timeMust be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machinesMust be able to perform some repetitive motions while using a computerWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
