Genesis Technical is seeking Electrical Designer(s) for a contract position with an engineering firm in Houston, TX. 77072
The role of Electrical Designer is to support the Engineers and Engineering Manager in providing drawings and equipment BOM as per customer requirements independently.
The Electrical Designer will support the service personnel in solving problems by simulating the problems in drawings. The Electrical Designer will be able to work on simple Engineering Work; Request and comply with all departmental; Work Instructions and Engineering Standards.
The Electrical Designer will be responsible for checking and approving drawings / designs; interface communication, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and safety of the electrical scope of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules meets customer's requirements and Industrial Standards they produce.
The Electrical Designer is expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and analysis of factual information

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Designer should be in possession a Technical Certification in the design discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical scopes of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules or related environment in similar industry.
- Ability to produce drawings / sketches to illustrate design / ideas.
- Experience with high-density data centers and hyperscale environments (strongly preferred)
- High level understanding of the purpose of electrical system for facilities.
- General Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to:
o IBC - International Building Code
o OSHA - Occupational Safety and Health Administration
o NEC - National Electric Code
o NFPA - National Fire Protection Association
- Experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software
