With customers' mission-critical needs always in mind, our employees deliver end-to-end technology solutions connecting the space, air, land, sea and cyber domains in the interest of national security.Job Location: Plano/Richardson TXJob Schedule: 9/80 - Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday offEssential Functions:Create CAD models of custom machined parts and assembliesConceptualize new design solutionsDocument design requirements with fully-defined engineering drawingsResearch COTS components for suitability to requirementsUpdate documentation per engineering directionCreate drawings for Circuit Card Assemblies, electrical cables, & other electro-mechanical assembliesMastery of CAD modeling best-practicesStrong 3D visualization aptitudeProficient with CAD softwares; Solidworks and/or CREOClear & concise verbal and written communicationExperience using Microsoft Office productsPerform trade studies between design alternativesAbility to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security ClearancePhysical Requirements (such as ability to lift up to 20 lbs.)Occasional local travel may be requiredQualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.Minimum of 6 years related experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Competency in ANSI/ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Excellent people skills, collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.Experience in metal fabrication processesL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
