Ellwood Crankshaft Group Cad/Cam DesignerEllwood Crankshaft Group is the world's leading manufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. ECG's products and services include crankshafts and eccentrics used in mechanical stamping presses, reciprocating air and gas compressors, reciprocating pumps, engines and other miscellaneous applications. ECG services the locomotive, shipping, mechanical press, oil and gas and compression markets.Today, ECG has four facilities throughout PA.

We are seeking a full-time CAD/CAM Designer to help support Ellwood Crankshaft & Machine in Hermitage, PA and other ECG facilities as needed. Regular attendance as scheduled is an essential function. Pay range will vary based on selected candidate's experience level.

This non-exempt position may require overtime, weekends, rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities.CAD PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Creating a solid model from a customer's drawingCreating a process part/drawing from a solid model (w/stock) for use in the shop (either metric or inch)Creating a model/drawing by taking measurements of an existing part (reverse engineering)Creating tooling assemblies / drawingsPerform other duties as deemed necessaryCAM PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Creating CNC programs for Mill/Turns, Lathes, Mills, Grinders and any other related CNC machinery according to manufacturing blueprintsUtilizing CAM software and verification software to create and/or modify CNC programsProvide CNC programming support to multi-axis, turning, and milling machinesHave a working knowledge of Siemens 840C, 840D, Fagor, and Fanuc. Okuma and Landis controlsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Two years' experience in Programming using MasterCam or NX or an associate degree in drafting or related field (High School Diploma or GED required)Preferred experience as draftspersonAbility to use CAD/Solid Modeling software (Solid Works and/or Siemens NX)Ability to read and interpret blueprintsStrong math skills, with the ability to understand complex 3D geometryThorough understanding of tooling and fixturingThorough understanding of manufacturing and manufacturing processesAbility to work well with a team while also working independentlyDetailed oriented and ability to organize and prioritizeGood written and verbal communication skillsExcellent computer skills in the use of Microsoft products Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.Valid driver's licenseQualificationsEducationPreferredAssociates or better in CAD Drafting Technology.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
