Supports engineering data quality and PLM readiness by executing CAD data cleanup and alignment activities within CAD and PLM systems. Works with engineers and CAD/PLM leads to update and validate part and assembly metadata, including attributes, naming conventions, and file structures, resolving inconsistencies across CAD files and associated product structures. Modifies and maintains 2D and 3D models as needed to ensure alignment with standards and accurate linkage to parts and BOMs, and supports file type standardization and CAD-PLM integration.

HYBRID WORK WEEK (M, Tue, Wed onsite)
Position Responsibilities
- Prepares and maintains detailed design drawings, schematics or specifications typically using computer-aided design software (Windchill and CREO).
- Works closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies or to prepare drawings of unusual, complex or original designs which require a high degree of precision using computer-aided drafting (CAD) or computer-aided engineering (CAE) equipment.
- Creates, modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers' and technicians' sketches, plans and written and verbal instructions.
- Updating Metadata within PLM Systems
- Configuration Management and Part Numbering administration within the PLM System
- Typical Day: This role will spend most days reviewing and cleaning engineering data, resolving CAD/part/BOM discrepancies and collaborating with engineers to ensure data is ready for migration into the new PLM.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience with PTC Windchill / CREO
- 5+ years of experience with creation and modification of 2D and 3D models in CAD systems
- Experienced in updating metadata within PLM Systems
- Experience desired with supporting PLM migrations and data remediation projects.
- Experience desired with configuration management and part numbering knowledge
- Experience and knowledge of CAD/PART/BOM within a PLM system
- Detail-oriented and able to spot inconsistencies and missing information
- Ability to work directly with engineering to resolve ambiguous legacy data.
