As an employee-owned company, we invest in our team members and empower them to shape their careers and make a lasting impact.We're excited to announce an opportunity for an Electrical Designer (CAD/BIM Technician) to join our Food & Beverage group in Champaign, IL.Responsibilities:Serves as the main point of contact for all CAD related tasks on assigned projects.Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare electrical engineering and design documents.Assists with design computations and quantity estimates.Assists with preparation and/or modification of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and/or designs for projects.Responsible for task-specific quality system tasks as defined in quality manual.Maintains technical competence on software features, company standards, and best practices.Subscribes to the company's technical blog.Other duties as assignedThe successful candidate must have a minimum of:Associate degree (or higher) in computer aided drafting (CAD) or related field from an accredited institution.ORIf no degree, between 2-15 years of relevant professional experience.The preferred candidate will have:Experience with power plan designs (480V and below)Experience with lighting plan designsExperience with control panel designExperience in power equipment specification (substations, MCCs, PDPs, LPs)Experience with AutoCAD & Rockwell AutomationPrevious experience working in food & beverage facilitiesAt Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
