Title: Structured Cable Technician

Location: Santa Teresa, NM

Pay: $41,000-64,000 + per diem + lodging included

Job Summary

We are looking for Level I and Level II Cable Technicians to support structured cabling and low-voltage projects. Technicians will install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot voice and data cabling.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate CAT3/CAT5 cabling, jacks, outlets, faceplates, patch panels, and 110/66 blocks.
• Install racks, backboards, cross-connects, fiber hardware, grounding, and other telecom infrastructure.
• Test and troubleshoot cabling for continuity, opens, shorts, crossed pairs, and other issues.
• Identify active voice and data circuits.
• Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
• Use standard cable installation, termination, and testing tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Level I: Entry-level to 6+ months of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, telecommunications, electrical, construction, or a similar hands-on trade.
• Level II: 2+ years of structured cabling or telecommunications experience, with the ability to work independently and help lead others.
• Familiarity with cable installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles:

Compensation:

$20/hr to $31/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
