Cable Installer- Senior LevelAll Native Group is seeking a Cable Installer- Senior Level responsible for the design, implementation, operation and maintenance, coordination, and support of the DOS Enterprise Telecommunications networks for voice, and data services in all domestic locations. Activities include network assessments, design and documentation services, configuration management, provision and purchase of equipment, materials, and supplies, inventory management, installation of specialized network systems, voice/audio and video networks, installation and integration of network equipment, and support of large scale cable and conduit installation efforts, which may be conducted simultaneously at various DOS domestic facilities, other government agencies, and/or affiliated organizations.Essential FunctionsProvides cable and conduit servicesUpgrades and replaces systems on a scheduled basisInstalls new systemsFulfills service requests for all voice and data serviceManages and maintains all associated computer equipment rooms within the National Capital Area Region (NCR)Responds to and resolves incidentsProcesses configuration updates based on service changesProcesses financial transactions based on service changesConducts quality management activities and business process re-engineeringProvides procurement of all equipment, materials, and supplies for operations and maintenanceSupports and completes all assigned projectsPrepares necessary reportsCommunicates directly with technical and management personnelCompetenciesMust be willing and able to learn and retain informationMust be able to work independently and in team environmentsAble to read construction drawings and other project documentsGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to differentiate color, for termination color codingMust be able to stay on your feet for long periods of timeMust be able to work overtime on as needed basisMay be requested and required to participate in Proposal Support functions due to expertiseSupervisory ResponsibilityNone required for this positionWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office and construction environments.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Ability to climb ladders and work in high spacesLift up to 50 lbsMust be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4p.m.

Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although about 10% out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.ExperienceSix (6) years experience of overseeing and installing telephone, coaxial, and fiber optic cables, including vertical and horizontal cable pairs to the desktopSix (6) years experience of locating and diagnosing signal transmission defects using various test equipment and visual inspectionSix (6) years experience using tools and related test equipment, ground power equipment, and pressure equipmentEducationHigh school diploma/GED, military electronic specialization schools, or trade school certification.Additional Eligibility QualificationsA clean driving record is required, and candidate must provide a DMV record upon offer of employment.Security ClearanceMust possess or be able to obtain/maintain a TOP SECRET security clearanceDrug Free WorkplaceAll Native Group is a Drug Free Workplace.
