C-Store Manager

Overview

Position: Convenience Store Manager. Reports Directly To Store Director, DM. Directs all Convenience Store associates. This is a mid-level management position at store level. The primary purpose is to provide high quality automotive products to customers in a clean, friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Greet and thank every customer you interact with
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and friendly atmosphere for customers
• Maintain a well-trained Convenience Store staff as needed
• Schedule and supervise Convenience Store Associates
• Follow merchandising plans based on product movement, customer demand, and profitability
• Order based on sales to control inventory, minimize out-of-stocks, and minimize shrink due to overstocks while attempting to maximize sales
• Control shrink due to pricing errors, theft, and product spoilage
• Price and date products to ensure quality, price accuracy, and rotation
• Order supplies for department correctly to control expenses
• Establish a cleaning program for all display cases, backroom areas, and coolers
• Complete a weekly Purchase Report recording sales, purchases, credits, and gross profit
• Attain sales, labor, and gross profit projections
• Ensure compliance with all company safety, sanitation, and security policies
• Ensure compliance with all governmental weights and measures laws and health department regulations
• Comply with all company policies including dress code and wearing name tag

Basic Functions and Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes on occasion and/or exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10-20 lbs. of force constantly while moving and handling materials and products. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to stand and move about to various work stations. Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull items so that objects move toward areas of use. Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments utilized in the preparation of food items and/or removing product from boxes. This is medium work requiring good corrected vision, hearing, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling and the ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery.
