This role focuses on creating reliable, user-friendly utilities and deployment solutions that streamline workflows and improve system usability.You'll work closely with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to develop efficient tooling, automate processes, and ensure smooth software installation and updates.The role will be based in Orlando, FL and is an in-office position.Job Scope:Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications and internal tools using C# and .NETBuild and maintain software installers (e.g., MSI, EXE) using tools such as WiX, InstallShield, or similarDevelop automation utilities to support deployment, configuration, and diagnosticsCollaborate with DevOps and QA to improve build, release, and deployment pipelinesTroubleshoot installation issues and ensure reliable upgrade and rollback mechanismsWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeParticipate in code reviews and contribute to best practicesOptimize performance and reliability of tools and installer processesWork with product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutionsRequired Qualifications:3–5 years of professional experience in software developmentStrong proficiency in C# and.NET (Framework or.NET Core/5+)Experience building Windows desktop applications (WinForms, WPF, or similar)Hands-on experience with installer technologies (WiX preferred, or InstallShield/NSIS)Solid understanding of Windows OS, file systems, registry, and servicesExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Strong debugging and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail, especially in reliability and edge casesAbility to work independently and manage prioritiesGood communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsProactive mindset toward improving processes and toolingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with PowerShell or scripting for automationFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)Knowledge of packaging and deployment best practicesExperience with MSI customization, custom actions, and upgrade strategiesExposure to security practices related to installers and system-level toolsBasic understanding of networking or system administration conceptExperience with driver or low-level system integrationsFamiliarity with virtualization or endpoint environmentsExperience working on security-focused or enterprise software toolsWorking Conditions:The duties described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
