NOSIS is accessed through hull-specific home pages that are available to its crew(s).
From the home pages, direct information such as electronic documentation may be accessed directly through the selection of unique links on each of the home pages. Access to the various NOSIS software applications is made possible through a series of user-selected tabs located on each of the home pages. The NOSIS team provides software design, testing, development, implementation and support activities for specific modules of the application, as well as government technical oversight for the complete suite of NOSIS modules.System Architectures/Software Technologies, Current Deployment/UtilizationSystem Architectures: Multi-site virtual system consisting of Web-Based applications with multiple versions of the same product, with multiple SQL Server and Oracle databases and ISA Servers. Submarine deployed modules are deployed on all submarines. Each submarine has approximately 60 users.Required Qualifications (Required at time of start): SECRET security clearance, Security Plus Certification NOTE: Degree in Computer Science can be used in lieu of Security Plus Certification. Valid and current Drivers License and ability to access military bases.
