Job Description
Assists buyer at the entry level in merchandising functions, including assortment planning/execution, financial planning/execution, merchandise allocation and replenishment. Has limited responsibility for minor and non-complex categories under the direct supervision of a buyer. Maintains a contracting officer code which binds the Exchange through contractual obligations to a limit of $125,000 per contract.

Job Qualifications
Three years of experience in buying, retail merchandising, planning, allocation, and/or inventory management required.
Or
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in buying, retail merchandising, planning, allocation, and/or inventory management required.
Degree (one of):
BACHELORS DEGREE - Preferred
Major/Minor (one of):
BUSINESS - Preferred MERCHANDISING - Preferred
Major Duties
Provides administrative support to buyer including, but not limited to, vendor solicitations, Retek updates, price changes, and maintenance of open-to-buy.
Supports buyers in development, execution and evaluation of stock assortments and sources of supply for programs.
Shadows higher-level buyers and participates in online and store merchandising activities. Attends professional development training to gain expertise and achieve contracting officer designation.
Runs reports and prepares presentations as required. May participate in tabloid and promotion planning process.
Performs other duties as assigned.
