Local candidates preferred.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelops thorough knowledge of assigned business areaWorks with business area to fully understand business objective and business requirementsPartners with business and with developers in designing functionality based on stated business requirements and system capabilitiesPrepares detailed business and technical specifications from which programs will be writtenWorks with developers and business partners in refining and clarifying requirementsProvides input to project management plansWorks with software vendors to provide timely support to assigned business areasMaintains effective levels of communication with team members, management, business areas and vendorsQualificationsUndergraduate degree in CIS/MIS/CE or equivalent experience/training6+ years experience in an IT organization4+ years of Business Analyst experienceDemonstrated experience preparing programming specificationsOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsDetail oriented demonstrating initiative, follow-through, sound business judgmentDemonstrated ability to present information, project updates and interacting with various target audiencesAgile experience a plusPayroll knowledge a plus
