This role requires a strong understanding of lab operations, along with excellent analytical and communication skills, to collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and drive technology initiatives aligned with business objectives.Education & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) are a plus.Experience2+ years of experience as a Systems/Business Analyst or in a similar role.Skills & QualificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with business process modeling, workflows, and system integrations.Knowledge of databases, SQL, and reporting tools.Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Knowledge of API integrations, database structures, and automation tools is a plus.Understanding of healthcare compliance (HIPAA, CLIA) and security best practices.Experience in one or more of the following areas:Lab workflowsRevenue Cycle ManagementBioinformaticsLIS ReportingOnline Ordering PlatformsOrder ManagementKey ResponsibilitiesRequirements Gathering & Analysis:Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.Conduct gap analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate solution options.Document business processes, workflows, and system functionalities.System Design & Implementation:Collaborate with developers and IT teams to design and implement solutions that optimize business operations.Develop system models, diagrams, and specifications.Test new systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure requirements are met.Project Management & Support:Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams.Assist with project planning, timelines, and deliverables.Train end-users on new systems and processes.Data Analysis & Reporting:Analyze data trends to support business decision-making.Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
