IT Support Technician On-SiteState Technical College of Missouri's IT Department is looking to add a new skilled and highly motivated technician to the team. This individual will assist in actively maintaining the campus server environment in both on prem and cloud. You will report to the Director of Information Technology and help lead the charge on existing and upcoming projects supported by IT.Minimum Qualifications5 years of work experience as it directly relates to the positionExperience working with and troubleshooting servers and virtual serversExperience with using various programs and server management tools, scripts and batch filesExcellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer serviceAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment with all levels of management and on independent projectsAbility to use creative and out-of-the box thinking as well as standard industry methods for providing technical supportMust be able to operate test equipment, lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs, and drive a motor vehicle.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working in technology support in education or higher education strongly preferredStrong networking fundamentalsExperience in scripting and PowerShell commandsEssential Job DutiesPerform routine maintenance and repair on physical server and cloud based environmentHelp maintain documentation for all campus serversConfigure and maintain virtual machines and provide necessary security updates to support critical systemsInstall and configure computer software, including but not limited to, operating systems and applications such as Windows serverProvide technical support for classrooms, conference rooms, offices, labs, and any other spaces on the College campusProvide end user hardware/software support and trainingCoordinate/escalate technology issues with the IT Help Desk, Network Services, and other IT departmentsDocumenting and managing changes with proper documentation within campus IT ticketing systemProvide IT support at occasional evening and weekend high-profile events and meetingsOther duties as assignedState Technical College of Missouri is an Equal Opportunity, Equal Employment Opportunity organization and does not discriminate against any protected class in our educational programs, activities, or employment opportunity.
