Business Systems AnalystThe Business Systems Analyst partners closely with business leaders and stakeholders to ensure technology solutions effectively support operational and strategic objectives. This role is focused on enabling the transition from custom-developed systems to commercially available software by building a strong understanding of business operations and how packaged systems can be configured to support process improvement. The analyst works to understand the business rationale behind change requests, evaluates current and future state processes, and ensures technology investments deliver measurable value.
By translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements, this role helps streamline operations, reduce redundancy, and maximize the adoption of standardized systems across the organization.Reports To: Director of ITPrimary Responsibilities:Continually strengthen their operational and configuration knowledge of the commercial software packages in use in the organization including reporting and analytic capabilities as well as the data and structures used in the applications.Act as the liaison to the various software providers utilized by the company; especially in the case of escalations.Assist the operation to continually optimize their respective operations with on-going application tuning.Stay current on pending new software releases and provide guidance on the appropriate time for updates as well as the proper steps and testing required for a successful update and rollout to the organization.Continually strengthen their knowledge of Power BI and Snowflake for optimum analysis and dashboarding solutions for the organization.Collaborate with business units to understand processes, objectives, and challenges.Coordinate with the Operations and IT team to ensure successful delivery, including system testing, UAT support, and helping to troubleshoot issues.Assist with the creation of process documentation, workflows, and training materials.Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.Education:Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.(3-5) years in business analysis or systems analysis roles.Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Valid driver's license and have reliable transportation with ability to travel to company locationsStrong operational knowledge in distribution environments; 3PL experience is a plus.Strong data analytics knowledge.Commercial software experience with top-tier software providers (Gartner Quadrant)Proficiency in Requirements Documentation, Data Analytics, Collaboration, and Testing.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience using Power BI or other data visualization and presentation tools.Familiarity with project management processes.Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining long-term strategic focusStrong communication skills both written and verbalGood interpersonal and customer care skillsWorks well within a team environmentPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear.Associates are frequently required to stand; walk long distances; sit for extended periods of time.Lifting heavy objects, like computer / network equipment is an essential function of the position.Work Environment:Working in close proximity to othersWorking indoorsLow to moderate noise levelsTravel:Intercompany travel between locations, 50% of the timeEEO STATEMENT Findlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, veteran status, genetic information or any other legally protected category.
