This position will lead the research and resolution of maintenance issues, oversee the support to end-user support calls, & function as a liaison to software vendors, Information Systems, and Operations Management regarding the support/integration of the applicable systems and technologies.The Business Applications Analyst relies on operational and technical experience to plan, lead and accomplish goals. This position will perform a variety of tasks and support operations management in the Implementation & Integration of other Business Systems including developing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to enhance operational workflows for operations management review and approval.
The Business Applications Analyst position reports to the Information Systems Applications Manager and will complete all job-related duties as assigned.Essential Job FunctionsStrong understanding of Business Applications and the correlation of each component of the systems they will support (admissions, abstracting/coding, finance, HIM, materials management, HR, payroll and B-AR)Strong analytical and change management skillsManage maintenance and monitoring of master filesIdentify and evaluate enhancement opportunities within the Information SystemCreate workflows and supporting documentationTroubleshoots & resolves user requests, issues, & conflictsSupport implementations through expert insight and project management skillsActs as a liaison to Operations Management, Software Vendors and Information SystemsBuild internal/external client relationshipsReport Writing/ScriptingDuties and ResponsibilitiesIdentifies redesign opportunities for operational workflows.Troubleshoots and resolves user requests, issues, and conflicts.Support the standardization and documentation of workflows and procedures.Prepare all necessary documentation for enhancement features.Manage exception-based scenarios & understand user requests to facilitate appropriate action steps.Prioritize problems and requests (new and existing) according to severity.Actively shares information with identified Management and Development Teams.QualificationsQualificationsRequires an Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in a related area of Revenue Cycle/Healthcare combination or equivalent2-4 years of experience in a related areaProficiency in Excel- RequiredFamiliarity with a broad range of desktop applications including, but not limited to,Microsoft Office Professional/365, Power BIHealthcare background preferredStrong communication skills to interact with management and end usersAbility to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environmentStrong monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting skillsExtremely organized and detail-oriented with a keen responsibility for accuracyand sense of urgencyMEDITECH experience preferredFormFast Forms creation experience preferred
