Overview
Convene, Inc. is a Tampa based, award-winning technology services organization with offices and resources throughout the US, Mexico, and India. We are seeking a strategic and analytical Business Process Architect to lead the design, improvement, and optimization of finance-related processes across the organization. This role will serve as a key driver of operational excellence within the Finance department, helping to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and enable data-driven decision-making. This is a fully remote role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead End-to-End Process Architecture: Design, document, and enhance finance-related business processes, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and compliance standards.
- Facilitate Process Improvement Initiatives: Conduct collaborative workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders to identify pain points, uncover root causes, and drive sustainable process improvements.
- Process Modeling & Documentation: Develop high-quality process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation using industry-standard tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio, or similar).
- Performance & Compliance Monitoring: Partner with Finance leadership to define KPIs and controls that track the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of finance processes.
- Change Management: Act as a change champion, guiding stakeholders through process changes with clear communication, training, and support strategies.
- Technology Alignment: Collaborate with IT, ERP, and automation teams to ensure finance processes are well-supported by current and emerging technologies.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Finance organization through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or MBA is preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in business process architecture, finance operations, or process improvement roles
- Strong working knowledge of core financial processes (e.g., AP, AR, GL/ACCTG, FA, FP&A)
- Proven experience facilitating cross-functional process improvement workshops
- Proficiency in process mapping tools and methodologies (BPMN, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365, NetSuite, SAP) and process automation tools is a plus
