Business Office CoordinatorParamus, New Jersey North East Regional Surgical Center, LLC Category Business Office Job ID Status Full-Time/RegularNortheast Regional Surgery Center is hiring a Business Office Coordinator. The Business Office Coordinator (BOC) assists the Administrator with the day to day operations of the business office. The BOC is also responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Registration and Medical Records.

The BOC will be in charge of the business office in the absence of the Administrator.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Knows, adheres to, and enforces all policies of the business officeAssist business office manager with supervising of business office employees and processesResponsible for the hiring, orientation, performance reviews and training of registration and medical records staffResponsible for thorough working knowledge of accounts receivable system including maintenance of the managed care contractsReconciles the cash receipts to the deposit logInforms business office manager of applicable day-to-day situationsSupervise all medical records activities of the center in a manner consistent with the clinical needs of the centerFollows all equipment safety guidelines and is personally responsible for knowledgeable use and care of equipmentAssist business manager with overall strategic planning of the business officeAssist the Business Office Manager to develop and maintain policies & procedures and systems to minimize DSO and the rate of bad debt and increase the productivity of related operationsPerform other activities as requested by the business manager, and assume other appropriate operational responsibilities as necessaryQualifications:Must be a high school graduate. Bachelor's degree preferred.Five years supervisory experience in a medical setting such as a hospital, physician's office, or surgery center preferred.Experience working with physicians is desirable.Must have knowledge of medical terminology.Prefer experience in accounts payable and receivable.Pay Range: $28.96/hr – $35.48/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.)
