Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Business Manager drives internal operational efficiency and manages cross-functional projects across production, engineering, and quality assurance. This role blends operational oversight with formal project management frameworks to deliver internal facility initiatives on time, within scope, and in full compliance with medical manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

·       Executive Collaboration: Align daily facility operations and internal project milestones with the CEO's strategic growth goals.

·       Project Leadership: Manage timelines, resource allocations, and stage-gate milestones for internal plant projects.

·       Operations Management: Coordinate daily factory workflows to hit throughput goals and maximize capacity.

·       Regulatory Compliance: Work with Quality Assurance to ensure all processes match FDA and ISO 13485 rules.

·       Financial Oversight: Oversee manufacturing budgets, track labor costs, and monitor project variances.

·       Process Optimization: Apply continuous improvement methods to reduce floor bottlenecks and optimize equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

·       Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.

·       Experience: 5+ years in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.

·       Project Background: Proven experience managing project scopes, timelines, risk registers, and tracking tools.

·       Scale Fit: Success working within a small-to-mid-sized plant environment (50–100 employees) and reporting directly to executive leadership.

·       Systems: Proficiency with ERP / MES platforms and project software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).

·       Certifications (Preferred): PMP / CAPM or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt credentials.
