Business Litigation AssociateDirect Counsel represents a prestigious AmLaw firm seeking a Business Litigation Associate to join its Washington, DC office. This opportunity is ideal for a fifth-year associate (Class of 2021) or an attorney with up to five years of litigation experience who is interested in handling sophisticated business disputes and white-collar matters within a nationally recognized litigation practice.The ideal candidate will have experience in complex commercial litigation, white collar defense, telecommunications litigation, privacy litigation, or related areas, along with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.Responsibilities:Handle complex business litigation and white-collar matters through all phases of litigationDraft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation-related documentsConduct legal research and develop litigation strategiesPrepare deposition outlines, exhibits, and discovery materialsCoordinate and manage complex discovery mattersTake and defend depositionsArgue motions and participate in court proceedingsCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teamsSupport business development and client relationship initiativesQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolUp to 5 years of litigation experience, ideally Class of 2021Experience with complex commercial litigation, white collar defense, telecommunications litigation, privacy litigation, or related practice areasStrong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategyExcellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsFederal clerkship and/or large law firm experience preferredLicensed or eligible for immediate admission in Washington, DCMaryland and/or Virginia Bar admission is a plusStrong academic credentials requiredCompensation & Benefits:Salary range: $240,000 – $265,000 annuallyPerformance-based bonus opportunityMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) retirement planPaid Time Off (PTO) and vacation benefitsCompetitive benefits package and professional development opportunities
